We accept payment:

  • in advance, to our back account: Bank Of China on larger orders.
  • in cash, on delivery.
  • currently, we do not offer payment by Credit card (due to costs) or Paypal (due to costs and ethics).

Suppliers: LWwines aims to supply wines promptly in the condition they were supplied to us. We only deal with respected, established international wine agents who have a proven track record in the Fine Wine industry.

We deliver using permanent staff (almost always, that’s me, The Wine Man: Founder/Director – and holder of 2 Wine & Spirit Education Trust qualifications). Personal service is just one point of difference. We aim to develop a sense of trust, security & warmth with our customers while bringing wonderful pleasure & superb value. Adverse supply issues: Hey, this is China. Things don’t always run as smoothly as one might be used to, at home. We reserve the right to replace a wine with alternatives in stock, aiming for consistency of style, quality and value. We will inform customers if this is ever likely and keep replacements as close as possible to the original requests, only changing items with consent. Touch wood: it’s rare.

Pricing Policy: We aim to be cheaper across our range than any other retail or direct wine organization in Shanghai for the quality of wines that we supply and certainly well below retailers standard pricing. We don’t use loss leading tactics to overcharge on other products. We aim to be fair traders. In all circumstances we aim to find ways to bring prices lower. We reserve the right to amend prices at our discretion.

Current prices are reflected in the latest price lists. Please ask for regular updates. Please note that because we are human, we may make errors on this site or publications and we unreservedly apologise if that happens. Our word is final on any pricing decisions.

Sale or Return: Large orders qualify for Sale or Return, if certain conditions are met:

  • you are an existing customer
  • the order value is higher than ¥10,000
  • a 25% deposit is paid in advance
  • the balance will be paid in advance also, or on delivery
  • Delivery charges will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, per job (usually free)

On all S/R supply agreements the undamaged ‘Return’ element is fixed at no more than 25% of the initial sale. This helps to protect us and should ensure you do not run out of (or buy too much) product for an event that can’t be returned.

S/R cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts. Contact us if you wish to enquire about Sale or Return.

Deposits: Under certain circumstances if a wine is not in stock but we feel we can track it down, we may ask for a deposit payment of 25% before we begin. It rarely happens; we would always inform customers in advance if we did need to invoke this.
