Life's to short...This particular type of collection, 6 bottles of the same grape from around the world, is carefully put together for our customers who want to to take their wine appreciation to the next level; maybe looking for the differences between regions, producers, continents.

A single varietal mixed case (in this case, Cabernet Sauvignon) offers explorers the opportunity to investigate several styles of tier 1 & 2 wines. The cae has been created with care and thought for the experience.

Each bottle is different, while each retains the typicity of a true, crafted Cabernet (without breaking the bank).Wine blending

Embrace those tantalizing and mysterious steps into discovering the breadth and depth within the wine world.

This is a case for the adventurous, the curious or the already aroused.

NB: We always look to source worthy support wines if Bin Ends disappear. When the Kleine Zalze is all gone we’ll replace with your favourite other cabernets, like Causino Macul Antiquas or a couple from San Medin or Hemisferio (adjusting the cost as appropriate).

1x Rochford Cabernet Sauvignon Australia, Yarra valley

Deep plum red in colour. The nose is complex showing concentrated cassis fruit overlaid with spicy oak and earthy characters. The palate is rich and full-bodied with good fruit and oak integration and balanced acidity. The finish is long with soft sweet tannins.

Food matching: Perfect with pork dishes or spicy vegetables.

1x Salentein Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva Argentina, Mendoza

Ruby-red. Good aromatic intensity, and touches of pepper; the wooden notes have been fully integrated but in the background, after ageing in French oak barrels. It feels soft and lingers in the mouth, with good structure, ripe and successfully achieved tannins.

Food matching: An ideal match for semi-hard or aged cheeses, or important and complex dishes of spiced red meat. Did I mention a  steak?

Reviews and Scores: Vintage 2004, 87/100 , eRobertParker.com

1x B.P. Rothschild Cabernet Sauvignon France, Languedoc

A deep red with lovely ruby highlights. Displays fresh blackcurrant, cherry and blackberry aromas. The attack is lively and elegant, on ripe fruit, and the body offers an attractive balance between roundness and tannic structure.

This highly aromatic wine can be drunk young.

Food & Wine Matching: Ideal to accompany eel noodles, charcuterie or red meat cooked with sauce.

1x Cousino Macul Antiquas Reservas Cabernet Sauvignon Chile, Maipo Valley

Deep garnet colour. Aged in oak for 12 months and the bottle for 6 more. This wine has an intense concentrated blackcurrant fruitiness complemented by floral and vanilla essence. Silky texture.

A stylish wine which is excellent value for money.

And the wine is most popular amongst those who are drawn to it. It’s one of those ‘in the know’ wines.

So, when I met up with a customer at a dinner party recently, who had enjoyed this wine at both his home and office party, he remarked with excited eyes:

“… it is rather good. I know some people who won’t touch it because it isn’t French, but really!

It is very good!

1x Miguel Torres Chile Santa Digna Cabernet Sauvignon Chile, Curico

A very popular wine among Cabernet Fans.

A darkly pigmented wine which would please Mr. Parker of the Wine Advocate. Intense, full and very fruity aroma. The palate is majestically structured – velvety, meaty and with elegant body. Its smooth, fine tannins, outlined by new oak, ensure a long evolution in the bottle.

Food matching: An ideal accompaniment to a wide range of dishes, roast turkey, cured cheeses, orange sauces, grilled meats, fondues, paella, the finest roast meats and game.

Every mouthful says, don”t swallow me yet; there”s more!Food matching: Match this with all red meats, game and mature cheeses. This ‘Mid-Range – Special’ Italian red was our 2nd most popular seller over Christmas 2010.
